Façades of The Hague #36

Façade of a building with a shop on the ground floor, Wagenstraat. It was built in neo Dutch 17th century style in 1886. It contained a slaughterhouse from 1889 to 1915.

Today it houses a Chinese hairdresser. The cheap and utilitarian shop front is late 20th century and has definitively spoilt the façade after it was already ‘modernised’.
